Hawaii DOH Talks About Sen. Obama's Birth Certificate | KGMB9 News H

The Department of Health has released a statement about Senator Barack Obama's official birth certificate.

There have been talk among some chat rooms that Senator Obama was not born in Hawaii, or even America for that matter, and therefore is ineligible to run for the office of President.
There have been various requests for copies of his Hawaii birth certificate to the Department of Health, all which have to be turned down.

"State law (Hawai'i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record," said DOH Director Chiyome Fukino.

"Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai'i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai'i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama's original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures."

Fukino adds that no state leaders, including Governor Lingle, has asked the certificate be handled in any way different from any one else's vital records in state possession.

Study: Media coverage has favored Obama campaign

NEW YORK (AP) - John McCain supporters who believe they haven't gotten a fair shake from the media during the Republican's candidacy against Barack Obama have a new study to point to. Comments made by sources, voters, reporters and anchors that aired on ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts over the past two months reflected positively on Obama in 65 percent of cases, compared to in 31 percent of cases with regards to McCain, according to the Center for Media and Public Affairs.

ABC's "World News" had more balance than NBC's "Nightly News" or the "CBS Evening News," the group said.

Meanwhile, the first half of Fox News Channel's "Special Report" with Brit Hume showed more balance than any of the network broadcasters, although it was dominated by negative evaluations of both campaigns. The center didn't evaluate programs on CNN or MSNBC.

....John McCain put his finger on an important point: we currently have an extraordinarily progressive income tax, which requires the wealthy (and the relatively wealthy) to bear virtually the entire burden of the income tax. Obama wants to spread the wealth not because the wealthy do not currently bear their fair share of supporting the government. He wants to spread the wealth because he views the wealth itself as unfair.

According to the latest IRS statistics, released this summer, we have an extremely progressive income tax system. For 2006 (the latest year for which statistics are available), the share of the federal income tax paid by the top 1 percent of tax returns reached an all-time high -- 40% of all federal income taxes. The top 50% paid 97% of the tax. The bottom 50% paid only 3% of it.

In addition, there were 43 million tax returns filed by people who had gross income but who -- after deductions, exemptions and credits -- had no tax liability at all. Many of these people got free money from the federal government, via "refundable credits" such as the Earned Income Tax Credit. They got "refunds" even though they did not pay any income tax in the first place....

Well that's about it.....unfair, don't think so.

More Combat Deaths in Afghanistan than Iraq.

BAGHDAD – U.S. combat deaths in Iraq fell in October to their lowest monthly level of the war (13).

Afghanistan, meanwhile, 15 U.S. military deaths were reported for October.  the worst one-month total since that war began in late 2001.

While we are watching the candidates for president in the U.S., the war is over in Iraq and the war in Afghanistan is beginning.

The ugly truth is that the really wealthy can manipulate the
political system to their own ends better than ordinary people. They
can lobby for specific tax breaks that only they can take advantage of.
They can get government trade protection for their companies. They can
get bailouts. If all else fails, the truly wealthy can simply relocate
their wealth into whatever area the government policies du jour make
the most profitable.

Porshe (Volkswagen) soon to be 2 companies in U.S. when G.M. or Ford folds there will be only one left, that one will survive with government contracts and subsides.

IBM-Germany

Oh, I forgot this was under HITLER'S brand of Socialism, Obama's will be different.
 
We are going to subsidize:

Solar, Wind, and Ethanol.

The Health Care system will be nationalized.

401 Ks will become part of the Social Security System

The one remaining car company will be subsidized, we must produce our own cars.

We will all be poor together, except the wealthiest few.

Porker of the Month

Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) has named Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Kevin Martin Porker of the Month for using FCC funds to sponsor a NASCAR driver from his home state.  The FCC will pay $355,000 to sponsor David Gilliland’s number 38 car, owned by Yates Racing, for three races, in order to raise awareness about the upcoming switch to digital television in February.  Even though the commission has inundated networks with paid announcements for months, Martin considered it necessary to use additional taxpayer dollars to pay for the car and driver to bear slogans such as “Is Your TV Ready for Digital?”  Not only does this expenditure show poor judgment, Martin moved forward without consulting all of the FCC commissioners.  The underlying motivation for the contract has also raised eyebrows.  The next President is generally expected to replace Martin as FCC Chairman, after which he may attempt to launch a political career in his home state of North Carolina, where Gilliland is based.  For using taxpayer funds on an unnecessary project, diverting focus from more important telecommunications concerns, recklessly spending without consulting his peers, and attempting to use his influence to shore up his own political prospects, CAGW names FCC Chairman Kevin Martin the October 2008 Porker of the Month.  Read more about the Porker of the Month.
